Step up for Smart Works 2025

Step Up for Smart Works 2025

For many women, getting a job is a lifeline. It is a chance to escape poverty, gain financial stability and restore confidence. In the shadow of the cost of living crisis, there is an intensified need for the Smart Works service.

Smart Works is a UK charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for their job interview. They give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and transform their lives. In the last year, 63% got a job within a month of their appointment.

Between the 1st and 31st of March, I will be walking 10,000 steps a day to raise vital funds for Smart Works. I would appreciate anything you are able to give to this fantastic charity.

Why I'm taking part in Smart Works 1,000 Steps Challenge this Marc

Thursday 20th Mar

My mission is about fostering a community where women lift each other up. Whether it’s through conversations on body confidence, self-care, or simply celebrating our everyday wins.

This is also why I’m proud to be taking part in Smart Works and their incredible 1,000 Steps Challenge this March. Smart Works is an organisation dedicated to empowering women by providing interview coaching and professional attire to help them secure employment. The 1,000 Steps Challenge is a fundraising initiative that encourages people to take 1,000 steps for every woman Smart Works supports—an act of solidarity and a commitment to uplifting women on their journey to success.

By taking part in this challenge, I hope to contribute to a cause that aligns so deeply with the ethos of Single Swan: supporting women, boosting confidence, and making sure every woman feels ready to take on the world.

My journey has taught me that true empowerment starts with self-kindness. If I can help even one woman feel more at home in her body, more confident in her choices, or more willing to embrace her own sparkle, then I’ve done what I set out to do.

To every woman who has supported Single Swan—you are the heartbeat of this mission. Your strength, your stories, and your resilience continue to inspire me every single day.

Here’s to fashion that uplifts, to kindness woven into every stitch, and to a future where every woman feels seen, supported, and free to sparkle.
