Step Up for Smart Works 2025

For many women, getting a job is a lifeline. It is a chance to escape poverty, gain financial stability and restore confidence. In the shadow of the cost of living crisis, there is an intensified need for the Smart Works service.

Smart Works is a UK charity that dresses and coaches unemployed women for their job interview. They give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and transform their lives. In the last year, 63% got a job within a month of their appointment.

Between the 1st and 31st of March, I will be walking 10,000 steps a day to raise vital funds for Smart Works. I would appreciate anything you are able to give to this fantastic charity.

From Confidence to Career: Why I’m Raising Funds for Smart Works

Thursday 27th Feb

I’ve chosen to support Smart Works because I deeply believe in empowering women to overcome the barriers that hold them back, especially when it comes to returning to work. I know firsthand how a little support and confidence can make a world of difference, and that’s exactly what Smart Works offers.

Through their coaching, interview preparation, and providing professional clothing, Smart Works helps women rebuild their confidence and skills, allowing them to step into their next chapter with assurance. For me, this cause resonates deeply because I’ve seen how impactful these opportunities can be. Whether it’s through providing practical resources or just a reminder that someone believes in their potential, Smart Works truly changes lives.

I’m stepping up to fundraise for this charity because I want to be part of that change. I want to help women who are ready to get back into work but may need that little extra push to get there. It’s an honor to contribute to an organization that’s dedicated to helping women unlock their full potential and find meaningful employment.

By supporting Smart Works, I feel I’m not just helping women find jobs—I’m helping them reclaim their confidence, their independence, and their future.
